DesktopBSD - an operating system created based on FreeBSD. The system is aimed for use as an OS for workstations. Differences from the progenitor is to use the default KDE window interface and appropriate, for workstations, a set of programs. Installing the system takes place using the graphical installer based on the BSD Installer. It is possible to run DesktopBSD with the installation disk, without installing on your computer - LiveCD. The latest version - 1.7, based on 7.2-RELEASE-p3.

In each issue we are trying to proove that BSD systems are reliable, secure and user-friendly. Authors of magazine are not only professionals with years of experience and BSD gurus, but also young hotheads who have lots of interesting things to say.
