The album features eight original songs written by Kranz and Bruni, with the exception of their cover of the Red House Painter s (Mark Kozelek, Sun Kil Moon) Mistress making an appearance. Kranz and Bruni pull together a stellar collective of Los Angeles area musicians who contribute their skills to Snow & Voices, both live and in their recordings. Brothers & Sisters focuses on the lives of the multi-generational Walker family. After the death of the familys patriarch, William Walker (recurring guest star Tom Skerritt), each of the Walker family children along with the family matriarch, Nora Walker (Sally Field), must come together as they navigate the bumpy road that lies ahead. To further complicate the matters, Williams mistress Holly (Patricia Wettig) always seems to find herself in the Walker family problems. It describes his relationship with his mistress Eva Braun, and his decisions and enemies inside Germany and inside the Nazi party.
