The late J.J. Sakurai, noted theorist in particle physics, was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1933. He received his B.A. from Harvard University in 1955 and his PhD from Cornell University in 1958. He was appointed as an assistant professor at the University of Chicago, where he worked until he became a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1970. Sakurai died in 1982 while he was visiting a professor at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland.

It is 1931, and we're in Shanghai. The Imperial Japanese Army has been dispatched to mainland China, due to large-scaled and still somewhat recent military events, most notably the First Sino-Japanese War, the Russo-Japanese War, and World War I. In this cosmopolitan city of intrigue lies a small spy organization, which history would later forget, led by a man named Sakurai Shin'ichirou. What Sakurai's groupdoes for a living could best be described as sorting out the mess in situations through which a regular group of spies wouldn't last; the amazing survival abilities of its members are a result of their super powers. However, a big plan starts to unfold in front of Sakurai and his men; that plan involves traitors and spies, politics and domination, tears and blood. No matter how strong a super power is, it also has its limits, and that holds true for Sakurai's men as well; when faced against the enemy behind that plan, an enemy that also has people with super powers among its ranks, how far will their own powers take them?

Real life Ryukyu Shorin-ryu Karate champion turned action movie actress Rina Takeda follows up her debut “High Kick Girl!” with “Karate Girl” (or “K.G.”), offering fans more of the same as she kicks, punches and chops her way through swathes of bad guys while wearing a cute high school uniform. Despite its similar title, the film bears no relation to its predecessor, though it does see original scribe Kimura Yoshikatsu taking the director’s chair, with co-scripter, producer and choreographer Nishi Fuyuhiko also returning. Boasting the same brand of old school, no wires, no CGI high impact martial arts, the film attempts to go one better by teaming Takeda with another young female karate expert in the 14 year old Tobimatsu Hina.

Min moves to Japan following his professor father. One day at a local shrine, he meets a beautiful, long-haired Japanese girl with innocent eyes. Her name is Nanae, and she is an aspiring painter. Min falls for her at first sight. He longs for her but soon learns that Nanae attends the same school to which Min has just transferred.

Storyline: After trying to rescue a man on the subway tracks, two teens wake up in a room dominated by a mysterious black sphere that sends them to hunt down and kill aliens hiding on Earth.
